Favourite winter activities: snowshoeing (or rather jumping down the hills), snowboarding, sledding, drinking hot chocolate while watching the snow fall, movie nights with greasy pizza…
Some other things I like to do: pack for a trip, travel, watch grass grow, smell coffee grinds, cook (but only if it turns out well – if not, it’s just disappointing)
Favourite holiday: Christmas Eve – How can you go wrong with turkey, stuffing, scalloped potatoes, tree decorating and presents? Answer: you can’t.
Pets: I don’t have any right now. My last pet was a hermit crab named Jacque. He lived with me for nearly five years and was a very smart little crab!
Most watched movie: ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ (the original one from the ’70s). ‘Ever After’ is up there too.
Music preferences: I like the oldies – ’60s R&B, The Beatles, The Supremes, ’40s and ’50s pop/rock and of course some classic hits from the ’80s and ’90s. From today’s time I like Jason Mraz, Matt Costa, and ...the occasional Britney Spears (but if you ask me, I’ll deny it). Mika, Lily Allen… I prefer movie soundtracks over albums by individual artists.
Movie preferences: I like French movies (my favourite is ‘Jeux D’enfants’ aka ‘Love Me if You Dare’), strange movies like ‘3-iron’, Movies that leave you with a feeling in your gut that you can’t describe with words, thinking movies, movies based on true stories like ‘Into the Wild’, and of course classics like ‘Forest Gump,’ ‘Sleepless in Seattle,’ and ‘Roman Holiday.’
Items on my desk right now: my black Moleskine agenda, a set of 0.4 Pilot pens, my laptop, printer, mug that once contained coffee, fortunes from fortune cookies, bills, tissue box, easel with paperwork, old print-outs to be used for new printing (I try to reuse and recycle as much as possible), list of things to do, books about Australia, camera, camera charger, cell phone, writing pad, lamp, my ‘extra-curricular’ binder, script for a presentation, copies of my resume, cover letters, a postcard, and a ceramic fish that my friend brought back for me from Hawaii… Carl the money tree, receipts, Backroad Mapbook of the GVRD, computer speakers, recently watched DVDs, book I’m currently reading, sketchbook, tax forms, business cards, granola bars, water bottles, purses, lip gloss, scarf, candles, kangaroo keychain, address book, keys, transit tickets, sunglasses, and external hard drive.
What I do when I’m frustrated: I clean. I scrub the tub and wipe down all the counters.
The name of my car: Henry, ’cause he’s cute and reliable.
Instruments played: I used to play the piano and trumpet. They’re both a little very dusty right now.
Last country visited: I had a flight transfer through Germany. Does Frankfurt Airport count? If not, then Russia. USA
Last thing I ate: sushi. Beard Papa cream puff and coffee.
Other things you’d probably never know: I haven’t eaten an orange since I was a kid and don’t plan on eating one until March 29, 2025. When I put away my socks, I always put them with the heel facing down in the drawer. For one month each year, I don’t eat meat (usually in the Spring). I don’t own any purple clothing.

I have a question for you if you can help me out with it? How can you resubmit a video if your video did not turn out well? I know on the official site it says you can resubmit, but what happens at that point? Do you then have two videos up and they just pick the best one, or is there somewhere you can delete your old one and put up the new one?
Anyway I don’t know if you know this info, but maybe you heard or read somewhere they were talking about it.

Thanks for the compliment!
You can resubmit a video by uploading it using a different e-mail address. I would then message Tourism Queensland via Facebook and / or Twitter to let them know you have submitted two and that the second one should be used for x reason. They seem to be really good about getting back to people quickly using Facebook and Twitter. Someone should then delete your first video and put up the second good version. I don’t think you can delete the video yourself.

Oh, one more question
Since Tourism Queensland is using YOUTUBE to upload videos, does that mean that the videos should be tailored for YOUTUBE specs to make sure it looks good on the official site?
My video looks good by itself coming out of my editing software, and I can’t seems to make it look good when I put it up on YOUTUBE, any tricks???
haha no videos look as good on YouTube. I’m afraid I have no tricks for that.
As for submission, I’d just make sure to keep it under 10MB so that it goes through.
If you don’t have a second e-mail address, make one. You can let TQ know which date and time you submitted your video and describe the second one and how it’s different from the first (ex. Please use the second video submitted with ________ e-mail address on February 16, and delete the original video with (insert problem: ex. poor sound quality) submitted using the e-mail address: ______.)

Hey Anny, I just wanted to congratulate you on making the top 50. I submitted a video, but didn’t make it.
