Doug and me tied with 2924 votes each!
What a race! For days I had been trying to move past Gina from Korea on the Wild Card Leaderboard. 206 votes away… 175 votes away… 11 votes away! And then finally two days ago I was ONE vote above her and in the coveted #23 spot!! Oh it was a happy moment. 
Then, out of nowhere comes Doug from the UK with a last minute surge of votes! There he went flying past Sandi, Jackie and Gina all in one day! I started to get worried when he was only 27 votes away from me. By this afternoon he had stolen my hard-earned spot with only THREE more votes!! NOoOOoooOooo
Oh, it was ON baby! I started tweeting and Facebooking like mad! “Please vote asap!” “Only one hour left…” “Oh man, you’ve got to be kidding me! I moved down to #24 by THREE votes!?? Please help: http://islandreefjob.com/anny Only 31 min left to vote!” “Only 10 minutes left!!” GAAHHhhhah!
I tweeted so much during the last few hours of the voting period today that TweetDeck actually stopped letting me tweet saying I had “exceeded the maximum tweets allowed”! I didn’t know that was possible! 
*sigh* It’s over now. Voting has officially closed and Tourism Queensland has tallied them up. Clare from Taiwan has secured the Wild Card vote with over 150,000 votes. But more importantly, where do Doug and I stand?
(Drum roll please)… WE’RE TIED WITH 2924 VOTES EACH! What are the chances eh!?
